Fall In Love With Fall

While you’re lounging in a swimsuit with a sundae in hand, enjoy the heat but prepare for some, rain. Indeed, we don't have the snow. We don't have the freezing temperatures, but we still can embrace fall fashion, sans fur trenches and a very careful selection of boots.

Black is back the new black, darlings. And grey, is her new bff.
Yay for the girls who love a black wardrobe because you think it's the most slimming and forgiving colour (which is so mistaken). Add texture and detail to this solemn non-colour or contrast with the quirky palette of bright colours picked from your favourite runways. Yes, colour is in blocks for fall, forget toning down. And the new neutral in town? Grey is taking over, from dresses to sweats.

Gucci
No more minis and unforgiving cocoons.
Gone with mini crops, midi lengths call for a greater celebration among the women as the more wearable trend kicks in. Full skirts take over the cocoon, defining the silhouette with a cinched waist or a fitted jacket.

Dresses still reign.
The effortless style of the dress just got easier with the departure of smocks and structured pieces to the sack, so now you can breathe easy. Then again there's belts to cinch at the waist. Don't forget!
For the holidaying folks: As temperatures dip the coat is a definite essential and this time make it knitted and big because a roomy coat is the new shape of the season. How about a cape?

Knits.
Before you start digging into your grandma's closet, no it's not the twinset look. Think dresses, coats...

Stella McCartney
Colour match.
Red and black. White and black Monotones. 'Nuff said.

Luxe, luxe Ladies.
Don’t forget the embellishments that bring opulence to extremes, taking the cues from Alberta Ferretti, Dior, and Dolce & Gabanna, just to name a few.

Floor-length Dresses
When night falls and an event calls for it, floor length dresses exuding glamour is this fall’s way to dazzle. Choose from satinised shades like those from Valentino and Versace. Do keep jewellery and make-up subtle, and accent with just a red lip, completing the look of the sultry old world charm.
